HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver

Job Description

We are recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver / Multi-Skilled Technician to join a well-established environmental services business based in Doncaster. This is a hands-on role offering far more variety than standard driving work — ideal for someone who enjoys getting stuck in and working across different operational tasks.

You’ll be responsible for a range of tanker and environmental tasks, including

• Driving and operating vacuum tanker vehicles
• Carrying out pumping, cleaning, servicing and maintenance of tanks, bilges, and systems
• Completing high-pressure jetting and specialist cleaning work
• Supporting industrial cleaning and environmental projects
• Leading or supporting teams on-site to ensure work is completed to a high standard
• Completing job sheets, customer sign-offs, and site documentation
• Working in line with health & safety, PPE, and waste management regulations
• Liaising with customers and maintaining professional standards on-site

What We're Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Driver CPC & Digital Tacho Card
• Experience operating vacuum tankers, pressure washers, or pumping systems
• Knowledge of tank systems, bilge cleaning, or similar environments
• Understanding of confined space work and specialist cleaning standards
• Ability to use hand tools and carry out practical, hands-on tasks
• Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work under pressure
• ADR licence (if held) is beneficial but not essential

The Details

• Monday to Friday – 07:30 to 16:00
• 40 hours per week
• Overtime paid at 1.5x (Mon–Sat) & 2x (Sun & Bank Holidays
• On-call rota paid at 1.5x hourly rate
• 28 Days holiday
